Major Responsibilities:

Individual contributing member of a team-using Schema`s advanced wireless solutions within leading service providers throughout the world. Candidates should have extensive optimization experience with wideband technologies, an advanced knowledge and understanding of the network design and simulation tools.

Basic required skills

• Advanced understanding of UMTS systems with experience designing, and optimizing large networks.
• Proficiency in the use of UMTS design and optimization tools.
• Utilize your UMTS knowledge to effectively understand customer needs and adapt/configure Schema’s SW solutions to most effectively meet customer objectives
• Guide the customer through the Schema process, discuss major RF issues in the market with the customer
• Collect and analyze customer performance data
• Analyze before/after system performance and develop comparison reports
• Configure Schema software within the customer environment
• Review growth requirements with customer’s engineering staff
• Must understand Methodology and theory of RAN planning and optimization
• Optimize the network using Schema’s products and methodologies
• Validate Drive Test data and predictions
• Recommend actions to fix post implementation problems
• Implement retunes using Schema’s recommendations
• Support goals and objectives of Schema and customer management.

Length of Project:	4 – 10 months
Experience	3+ years of RF performance/optimization engineering with wireless operators, or infrastructure providers, or consulting company, with at least 3 years of recent UMTS-specific experience. Some experience managing projects and people helpful.

Overall Function:

The software engineering position is part of an engineering team responsible for the on-site deployment and implementation of large scale RF engineering team utilizing Schema’s solutions at major wireless operators. The SWE is responsible for end-to-end implementation of Schema’s solutions at the customer’s environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand the process and methodologies used by the customer and convert into automated processes in Mentor’s Server.
• Manage the integrity of data through all the stages of implementation.
• Know and understand the implementation procedures of Schema’s solutions.
• Build a Mentor environment for a customer.
• Provide technical support to other team members on Schema and other tools.
• Develop and write scripts for market specific implementation.
• Deliver the optimal solution to the customer.
• Deliver the highest level of customer service.
• Build constructive and effective relationships.
• Create an environment for people to strive to achieve their best potential.
• Keep a constant communication line with the customer for customer demands and updates.
• Keep the Project Manager advised on all relevant matters related to the project.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of database engineering preferably with wireless operator, or infrastructure provider, or consulting company.
• UMTS OSS systems and terminology and IT infrastructure  
• Ability to conduct professional presentations.  
• Experience with Visual Basic, C++ , Pearl, and Java
• Ability to write PL\SQL code using Oracle and SQL queries
• Knowledge of RF optimization and planning tools and processes is a plus.
