Planning and Optimization for Transport Networks
Traffic Engineering (TE) is a network planning and optimization product intended for operators faced with the ever increasing challenge of planning and optimizing their transport networks. Designed to remove time-consuming data preparation work from such activities TE can be used periodically to help operators respond to the challenges of managing and expanding their networks, capacity and quality. Traffic Engineering includes Diverse Routing Optimization (DRO) and Traffic Optimization (TO) functionalities enabling wireline and wireless operators build networks based on current and projected demands while meeting primary objectives, ensuring the networks are installed for minimal CapEx and their operation leads to minimal OpEx.
Traffic Engineering Key Benefits
-
Designed by industry experts with years of theoretical and practical experience in planning and optimizing transport networks.
-
Provides an efficient solution for traffic appropriation on existing network deployment so that additional traffic can be served without incurring additional infrastructure expenses.
-
Uses vendor-suited data-adaptors, enabling input data to become transparent to the application, allowing TE to easily perform the optimization over a multi-vendor unified network.
-
Divides the optimization recommendations into several shifts via the Shift Scheduler module. KPI improvements are guaranteed for each particular shift so work can be implemented in portions on different dates.
-
User can predict KPI improvements and pick the optimal group of shifts that will lead to maximum KPI improvements via the Shift Simulator module.
-
Provides an optimal solution for network expansion plans. The user simply adds the new NE connections and TE will calculate the required capacity.
